Lapis lazuli pendant with a silver cap and a Swiss set 2-point white diamond strung on a stainless-steel collier.
Long before it was made into jewellery or objects of art, lapis lazuli was ground into a fine powder and made into ultramarine – a colour considered the most perfect of all colours by the old masters. For hundreds and thousands of years, its only known source was a remote corner of Afghanistan, making lapis lazuli highly prized, an ounce of lapis typically cost the same as an ounce of gold.
Lapis lazuli is considered the stone of friendship and truth, said to strengthen love and emotional ties, while a spear represents power, protection, and authority. Let’s say, I like to think of the Lapis Spear as combining the best of both.
The Lapis Spear is made of lapis lazuli capped in silver, embellished with a Swiss set 2-point white diamond, and strung on a stainless-steel collier.
