Wide Ndebele Cuff
18-carat yellow gold, oxidized silver, lapis lazuli, and African blackwood stippled with gold using Hombisa’s trademark Milky Way technique.
Vibrant, geometric, symmetrical, abstract—these are among the words that best describe the paintings of the Ndebele people. Moved by Esther Mahlangu’s mission to ensure the survival and resurgence of Ndebele art, I borrowed elements of their oeuvre and added a twist of Hombisa to create the Ndebele Cuffs.
The Wide Ndebele Cuff is made with 18-carat yellow gold, oxidized silver, lapis lazuli, and African blackwood stippled with gold, using Hombisa’s trademark Milky Way technique.
